Understanding usage and credits

The usage window, usage credits and automatic top-up.

Included usage

Every plan includes a working capacity over a rolling window whose length depends on the plan. The interface shows a percentage used and when usage comes back, never a balance.

An analysis consumes according to the volume of comments read, the number of accounts analysed and the model chosen. A very wide analysis can empty a window on its own.

Usage credits

Once the included capacity runs out, three doors exist: wait for usage to come back, change plan, or buy usage credits.

These credits never expire and are only spent after the included usage. Nobody burns a purchase without knowing. Promotional grants can be added on top, and those do expire.

Keeping spending under control

  • A switch, which stops the purchased balance from taking over.
  • A monthly spending limit, reset at the start of each month.
  • An automatic top-up, with a threshold and an amount, when a valid payment method is on file.

Usage credits only serve the web app. They do not convert into API credits, and API credits do not convert the other way.
